North Andover defeats JV softball in close game

On May 20, the JV softball team traveled to North Andover to play one of their many make-up games. Due to the poor weather this season, the Hornets played a tough game but ended up losing the game 5-1.

Burnham was second in the lineup against North Andover because she is a lefty batter, which can throw the pitcher off after throwing to the first batter, who is a righty. - Freshman Sam Woodman stands on first base after getting walked by North Andover’s pitcher. Woodman was one of the few Hornets players that was walked; however, she was one of the many who stole second base due to the pitcher’s inaccuracy. - Freshman and first baseman Meghan Conway stands on first base to try and get the out as the North Andover player tries to beat out the throw.
